I rubbed my tired eyes, walked out on the veranda Me and sweet Miranda were just rollin’ out of bed Mexican morning, the sun is softly warming Our newly forming bodies for last night we wed And the priest was laughing as he stood upon the ceiling We spoke what we were feeling and we wrote each other’s vows Nobody was missing when we started into kissing Always wished for what I have now And the orange-red glow From the rolling globe Is washing over everything That lays below in the Afterglow In the Afterglow Down in Savannah we swung upon the willows Talked between the pillows while the war passed by And later on in Cuba, you blew upon your tuba And I was firmly rooted to the blood-red sky And the orange-red glow From the rolling globe Is washing over everything That lays below in the Afterglow In the Afterglow Rode that open highway in our broken down jalopy It all was pretty sloppy, but we called it love As long as we’re together, I could never say I ever Felt much better or had such fun The cobblestones were dappled when we rode up to the chapel There were children selling apples when we walked through the crowd Above us bells were ringing, behind us children singing It felt like something bringing us to be here now And the orange-red glow From the rolling globe Is washing over everything That lays below in the Afterglow In the Afterglow

about

If you like your Bandits rocking hard with lots of guitar solos, funky arrangements, soulful ballads with guitar solos, and a lot of Upper East Side swagger, come on down to one of our last Golden Arrow line-up hurrahs on stage. Recorded over two evenings in the Spring of 2010 at Bar East, here's Russell Kaplan, Chris Q Murphy, Jay Buchanan, Spiff Wiegand, Sunny Knable, and Jim Knable getting as real as it gets, trying not to get lost while giving it up and talking to Randy. All proceeds go towards expanding the legend. Thanks for listening, whether you tip your host or not.

about

Jim Knable and The Randy Bandits New York

Jim Knable plays with and without various incarnations of The Randy Bandits, formed in 2002, but if he plays with a band, it always ends up being The Randy Bandits, despite the occasionally misleading billing. Studio albums: BLUE REUNION (2020), GOLDEN ARROW (2009), REDBEARD (2006), GREEN MAN (2007-18) form the core of Jim Knable's songwriting output, but the crust is also worth exploring. ... more
